Harper, you are 7 MONTHS OLD!
You weigh 16lbs. 15oz.!
You have greatly expanded your list of favorite foods this past month. I don't think you have ever met a meal you didn't like! I started sending rice cereal and a fruit or vegetable to school with you every day so you have been getting lots of practice eating with a spoon. This month you tried Yo-Baby vanilla organic yogurt, bananas, squash, apple/strawberry/banana, frozen bananas, green beans and even spaghetti that mommy pureed in the magic bullet! You are still taking 6oz of Similac formula about 5 times a day.
If you could stop chewing on your bows that would be great, okay? Your daddy has been dressing you every morning and he puts a bow on your head every day (of course!). He has been sending me pictures of you when he gets to the daycare after the short (less than 5 minute drive) and you have already pulled that bow around your neck and are chewing away. You look so guilty every time!
You are wearing some 6 month clothes and some 9 month clothes. We still have so many cute things in your closet and some of my mom friends that have kids at your daycare make comments on how they peek in on you every day to see what you are wearing! You are so fashionable!
You wear a size 2 diaper. We bought some cheaper diapers (Huggies) to send to school and we keep the good ones (Pampers) at home but my GOODNESS those Huggies are awful! You blow out of them almost every day. They are so loose around the back and totally not worth the couple of bucks we saved so we will not do that again!
Your sleep habits have been HORRIBLE this past month! Just before Christmas you got sick with a bad cough, you were up all night one night. I swear you have turned into sleeping like a newborn again. For a while there you were getting up 2 times a night and the only way to get you back down was to feed you. We did that for a few weeks and just a few days ago we decided you needed to cry it out. It was horrible but it worked and we think you are finally back on track. You whimper in your bed every day around 6 or so and if we feed you you sometimes will go back to sleep for a few hours but during the week that is when we get you up, dressed and off to school!
You are still not rolling very much. You sleep on your back all night long and have only rolled from back to front once. You are so close. You have rolled a few times front to back but I am convinced it was by accident. You are just like your brother, lazy! I don't think he rolled over until he was 10 months old! We are in no huge rush for you to grow up, you are just on your own timeline.
Your brother seriously cracks you up all of the time. If I am cooking dinner I can always count on him to sit and talk with you and keep you happy. He loves you so much and loves to get in your crib on the weekends in the morning when you wake up. Ya'll laugh and play in there for a while some mornings.
You are the sweetest, happiest baby and you put a smile on my face every single day!
